Consistency Beats Intensity

As I have stepped into 2025—my 40th year—I’ve been thinking a lot about one word: Consistency.

Not hustle. Not intensity. Not even growth.

Consistency.

I’ve lived enough years now to know that sudden bursts of energy rarely bring lasting results. Whether it’s in work, relationships, health, or spiritual growth—it’s not the big moments, but the small daily decisions that shape a life.

That quote above? It’s been on repeat in my mind all week.

We often want to throw the bucket. Fix it fast. Go all in.

But what changes things over time is the drip.

One drop.

Then another.

And another.

While far from perfect this has been something I have been trying to apply as best I can into; my work, my habits, my relationship with God, and even how I show up for my family. It’s not about perfect days. It’s about showing up again. And again. And again.

That’s the rhythm I want for this year.

Not to impress. Not to overwhelm.

Just to keep going.

If you’re like me and crave a bit of breakthrough, maybe the invitation isn’t to go harder… but to go steadier.

What’s one area you want to be more consistent in this year?
