A space for me to share my thoughts and resources on digital marketing.
Although this post may not captivate most readers, I felt it was important to commemorate this moment on my website. I strongly believe that celebrating our achievements is something we should always make time for.
Back in 2018, I became a HubSpot Partner and thanks to the incredible Agency Partner team, they encouraged me to make the leap into the full Agency program, now known as the HubSpot Solutions Partner program. At that time, I was just a solo freelancer primarily working with non-profit organizations. To my surprise, this summer, I reached a significant milestone that my account manager had urged me to set for this year. I honestly never thought I would accomplish it. This achievement, and the original decision to join, has truly transformed my life and that of my family (I am a father of two children). I am immensely grateful to the entire HubSpot team and the Solutions Partner community. Here's to many more years of growth with HubSpot, and most importantly, to serving the amazing teams and organizations that I have the privilege of working with.
In today's digital age, non-profit organizations are constantly seeking ways to enhance their fundraising efforts and reach a wider audience. One powerful combination that can accelerate any non-profit's fundraising efforts is the integration of the HubSpot CRM and Fundraise Up. Two platforms that I believe are revolutionizing how nonprofits do fundraising. In my over 20 years of fundraising experience never have I used and implemented tools that are both simple and powerful.
It has been over a decade since I entered the world of digital marketing and ran my first ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram. So much has changed since then and when I stop to add up the money (mostly not my own) I have spent on these platforms it is staggering.
As a nonprofit venturing into the world of digital marketing, it can be overwhelming. The sheer amount of noise and the pace of change can be mind-boggling. However, as someone who has worked with nonprofits for over two decades, I can say that success is achievable if you are willing to put in the effort. While this list is not exhaustive, I want to share a few strategies that I've observed from successful nonprofits I've worked with.
The Moccamaster is a popular drip coffee maker known for its consistency and quality. But even the best drip coffee maker can't make great coffee if you're using subpar beans or a poorly-functioning grinder. That's where I have personally found the Baratza Encore to be the best grinder.
With over 20 years of experience working with and for non-profits, I've come to understand the critical role fundraising plays in helping these organizations achieve their goals. As a communications specialist, I've worked on numerous campaigns and events - some successful, and some not so much. However, one of the most frustrating and time-consuming aspects for me has been dealing with the clunky platforms and services we've had to use to manage donations. Not only are they difficult to set up
In today's digital age, the art of personal communication has been replaced by emails and social media messages. However, for non-profit organizations, a simple phone call can work wonders in building a stronger relationship with their audience. Phone calls provide a unique opportunity for non-profits to connect with their donors and volunteers on a personal level, which can lead to a greater understanding of their needs, motivations, and interests. It's through these conversations that non-profits can show their donors and volunteers that they're not just a name on a spreadsheet, but a valued member of the community.
